TI-HI pallet calculator: what TI and HI mean
TI-HI is a compact way to describe a pallet pattern: TI is the number of cases on one layer and HI is the number of layers high.
TI and HI in one line
TI = cases per layer. HI = number of loaded layers. If TI is 8 and HI is 6, the geometric pallet count is 48 cases before payload or order-quantity limits.
How PackMize derives TI
The pallet engine tests valid rectangular orientations and mixed stripe patterns on the pallet footprint. TI is taken from the selected layer layout rather than from pallet area divided by carton area alone.
How PackMize derives HI
HI is constrained by usable vertical space: floor((maximum total pallet height − pallet base height) ÷ carton layer height). If payload is reached earlier, the final loaded pallet can contain fewer full layers or a partial last layer.
When TI-HI is not enough
TI-HI does not describe stability, carton compression, interlocking, overhang, center of gravity or transport rules. It is a configuration shorthand, not a safety approval.

No. PackMize provides planning calculations within the stated mathematical model. Operational safety, stability, regulations and equipment constraints must be checked separately.
