Standards, assumptions & data sources
PackMize separates published reference data, planning defaults and calculated outputs so a preset is never mistaken for a universal physical specification.
Source policy
PackMize uses primary standards, equipment manufacturers or recognized industry references where they materially improve a planning assumption. External sources document the reference dimension or industry context; the PackMize engine then calculates from the explicit numeric inputs shown to the user.
Reference hierarchy
Standards body, pallet association, carrier or recognized industry research.
A transparent preset or worked-example input, labelled as a planning value where it is not universal.
The engine output, version and optimality status are reported separately from the source data.

Why PackMize presets may not equal one source line-for-line
A container fleet can contain several manufacturing series with slightly different inside height, width, door dimensions, tare or payload. A pallet footprint can also be shared by different constructions and ratings. For that reason, PackMize presets are deliberately labelled as planning profiles and the calculators expose custom dimensions for operational use.
Calculated examples are versioned separately
Worked examples publish the application release and engine identifier. The current application is PackMize 3.7.4, while the core optimization family remains 3.6.0. Numeric outputs are deterministic for the stated inputs and engine version.
