PackMize 3.1 · Pro beta

Mixed pallet & Multi-SKU Load Planner

Turn a real order with several SKUs into mixed pallets or direct container loads. Hybrid mode compares a conservative layer-safe plan with support-aware upright 3D and keeps the stronger valid result.

Beta access is currently free. No payment details are requested.

1. Build the order

Reuse SKUs from your library, set quantities, priority and optional load group, or import an order CSV.

2. Choose the model

Run Hybrid by default, force Layer-safe for maximum conservatism, or inspect Support-aware 3D beta directly.

3. Inspect and save

Review generated loads and support levels in 2D/3D, export CSV, print to PDF and save the result to the project.

What PackMize 3.1 models

Constraint / capabilityMulti-SKU v3.1
Different carton sizes and quantitiesYes — up to 250 SKUs and 10,000 units per planner run
Layer-safe modelYes — deterministic mixed layers using multiple orderings and MaxRects strategies
Support-aware upright 3D betaYes — up to 120 SKUs / 2,200 units; cartons can start at different Z levels when geometrically supported
Hybrid modeYes — compares layer-safe and support-aware candidates within the 3D safety limits
Support thresholdConfigurable from 60–100%; center support is also required unless support is effectively complete
Priority1–5 per SKU; influences allocation order
Load groupsPrefer, strictly separate, or ignore
90° footprint rotationPer SKU
Non-stackable cartonsNever used as support surfaces in support-aware 3D; terminal handling in layer-safe mode
Pallet/container payload and maximum heightEnforced
Container door dimensionsChecked for upright cartons
Arbitrary carton tiltNo — cartons remain upright
Crush strength, friction, CoG, axle loads, lashing, hazmatNot modelled

Hybrid does not mean “AI guess”

Both candidate engines are deterministic. The layer-safe engine builds compatible horizontal layers. The support-aware engine evaluates discrete three-dimensional candidate positions and only accepts an elevated carton when its footprint meets the selected support threshold and center-support rule. Hybrid compares the feasible candidates by loaded units, load count, utilization and compactness.

For larger orders, Hybrid deliberately skips support-aware 3D and falls back to the layer-safe engine rather than freezing the browser or pretending to have searched a space it did not search.

What “proven minimal” means

PackMize calculates a lower bound from total volume and payload. With strict group separation, it calculates those bounds per group. When every unit is loaded and the returned pallet/container count equals that hard lower bound, the load count is marked proven minimal. Otherwise the result remains BEST SOLUTION FOUND.

Why this is different from the single-SKU calculators

The free Pallet Calculator and Container Loading Calculator optimize one carton size at a time. The Multi-SKU planner works from a persistent project with multiple products, quantities and product-level load rules.

Operational caution. Geometric support is not a physical stability certification. Verify crush strength, friction, center of gravity, pallet rating, container condition, weight distribution, handling access, lashing and applicable regulations before execution.
